Exercise Short Or Looooooong

What the F*** Is "Exercise Short or Looooooong" “ This Will Change Your Life!

Is common sense too common?
- Prabal Arora

We say that we can use our common sense. Here is the question “ "Is it really common?" Isn't it that common sense is so uncommon that you will get a little result if you do a little exercise? If you worked on a small muscle only, it would expend a small number of calories. If it didn't use much of your body, it would not work very well.

Common sense would say if you pick a big exercise, you use most of your body's muscles and your heart pumps really hard. You would get a much more significant result. So, why do we waste so much time doing little exercises such as core exercises or core workout, ab workout or even lower ab workout, tricep exercises, butt exercises, arm workout etc.?

Little exercises, little result; Big Exercises Big Result!!!

You could break your body up into a hundred different pieces and do one hundred other exercises. However, is it possible to pick only three compound or functional exercises which work for the front, back and the lower body and work it as hard as you possibly can in a short period? And you would be fit, healthy and strong for a lifetime? So which are those compound exercises? Deadlifts, squats, lunges, push-ups, dips, bench press, chin-ups, jogging, running and sprinting are all compound exercises.

Second question, "Where do I exercise" ? Your physical fitness could be a home workout; part of it could be in a gym or a personal training studio?

Do you train with Absolute Intensity or Relative Intensity?

How do I lose weight?

Third question, How do I lose weight?" Get huffy-puffy by doing anaerobic exercises or HIIT exercises (High-Intensity Interval Training) and lift heavyweight. It's as simple as that. Aren't Interval training or anaerobic exercises and heavyweight training the best way to burn fat faster, lose weight and get physically fit and strong? Have you experienced it?

Doesn't it sound straightforward, easy, uncomplicated and even fun? So why do we make exercise so long and boring? Why do we make them so complicated and make it seem so difficult for everybody, especially when people don't want to do it in the first place?

How do I Exercise?

Suppose you're one of those passionate and committed people who love to exercise for hours and hours and break your body up into little pieces and do lots of exercises for each body part, fantastic. But if you are one of us mere mortals who simply want to remain healthy, fit and strong for the rest of our life - not get chubby, not get weak, not get sick, and predominantly not get old so that you can stay active for the rest of your life and enjoy your life, go for compound exercises. Isn't it the shortest, safest, the most efficient way of exercising? Don't you get significant results when you do big exercises like deadlifts, squats, push-ups, dips, lat pull-down, or dumbbell row?

Can we use common sense?

Let's use uncommon sense. Now you get to decide if you want to be in physical fitness for life and don't want to follow a diet plan or weight loss programme, focus on relatively safe compound exercises which are time-efficient and give us significant results.
So the choice is yours! Whether your exercise plan is long and boring; or it's short, fast and effective - all up to you!

Longer the workout; less effective it is.
