FAT - What Is It And How To Be A Fat - Burning Machine

Shocking Facts About FAT And How to Be a Fat-Burning Machine!!!

Who doesn't want to burn fat faster? But getting huffy-puffy is hard! That's what I hear quite often. So how do we burn fat? Is there any other way or more comfortable way to get rid of that excess fat, which will last long?

You don't burn FAT when you sprint - Surprised to know!!!

When you sprint on the treadmill or do any other rigorous exercise, how much fat do you really burn? None. Really!!! You must be thinking that you sprinted and put your 100% effort, and you didn't burn fat at all. How's it possible? Do you know when you sprinted, the only energy source you were using was carbohydrate? No fat burnt at all.

So, what's the purpose of sprinting if you don't burn any fat? Aha! that is a great question. Our body stores about half a kilo of carbohydrate as glycogen in the muscles and liver. The rest is stored as glucose in the brain. That is the only storage supply we have for sprinting and lifting weights.

So, the energy for overloading your heart and lungs, overloading your muscles and bones, comes from carbohydrates. And we only store half a kilo. So, if you sprint, meaning do anaerobic exercises or do weight lifting/lift quite heavy the rest of the day, your body will need to burn fat.

When you're regularly sprinting, when you're periodically overloading your muscles and bones, lifting something, you become fit. The beautiful thing is that your body sends messages through the central nervous system to the carbohydrate storage areas and says, "Hey, we need to keep you stored as this person (You) is regularly sprinting. We need to store that half a kilo of carbohydrate for when you need it.” So the rest of the time - out of 24 hours a day - you need to be burning fat.

Would you believe there are 40 to 100 billion FAT cells in your body?

And the exciting thing about fat storage is that it's unlimited in our body. Have you noticed that the number of fat cells we have can differ in numbers in different individuals? Isn't that determined genetically? Won't you find some people have less fat cells and the rest have more? However, how much fat is inside that fat cell is a choice. We don't have to have full-fat cells. The more food we eat that doesn't get burnt up, it gets accumulated as triglyceride in fat cells.

Your body can turn carbohydrate and protein into fat, and fat is already fat. A fat cell can keep expanding and expanding. And when it can't expand anymore, it splits. Now we've got two fat cells that can expand and expand. So our ability to store fat is enormous. On the other hand, our ability to store carbohydrate is only half a kilo.

Yeah, how do you turn your body into a fat-burning machine and get fit? The exercise that we do isn't about fat burning. Many people say, oh, how many fat calories did I burn or how much did I burn off my body while exercising?

Aren't you wondering when do you burn FAT or calories?

Isn't it interesting that it's a complete upside down when you sprint quite hard and overload your muscles by lifting heavy; you burn carbohydrates, not fat? Now you are fit, have a fast metabolism, have strong muscles, and build more - your body can burn everything up really effectively and wants to store carbohydrates and use fat as an energy source. The stimulus for turning your body into a fat-burning machine while you're doing nothing is the exercise that you do. So when we sprint and overload our muscles and bones with something heavy, we're not burning fat; however, for the rest of the time, we are for every day.

So, except for the time you don't exercise, your body is a fat-burning machine. Say, for example, you exercise vigorously/sprint for 10 minutes a day, the rest 23 hours 50 minutes your body is burning fat. Your respiratory quotient becomes low; that's from where the calories are coming. Your respiratory quotient is the ratio of the amount of Carbon dioxide produced by the body to the Oxygen consumed by it. If your respiratory quotient is low, your body will use fat as an energy source rather than carbohydrates. A very fit person will always have a low respiratory quotient.

Are you fit or unfit?

If there is a group of people in a room, some may be fit and some unfit. Fit people will be burning fat and calories faster than unfit people. So the fastest way to turn your body into a fat-burning machine is to get fit. And the only way to get fit is to get puffed by doing anaerobic exercises such as running, battle rope training, cycling fast, boxing etc. And it takes about 10 seconds to get puffed, which is why when I started writing today, I was so excited because I had just sprinted so hard, I could hardly breathe. It means now, every second, every minute, every hour after I finish sprinting, my body is a fat-burning machine.

And most importantly, every time you sprint, you'll also be firing up your endocrine system. You pump heavy drugs (endorphins) into your brain. The immediate effect of exercise is that you'll be on a high. Literally, the chemical reaction that heroin, cocaine, and amphetamines - any pharmaceutical drugs aimed to make us happy with the nasty side effects. Your brain will produce all of those drugs automatically. You'll be in control of your hormones, not the other way round.

Also, if you're overloading your muscles and bones, you'll have strong bones, which means you'll have a robust immune system, which means you're very unlikely to get sick. And if you do get sick, you get better quickly because you've got a robust immune system.
