Sports - Who And Why Are They The Best

Why Can't You be the Champion that will Change Your Life

"Did you ever say when you grow up, you want to win a Bronze medal? Yet later in life when you didn't win Gold, you accepted a Bronze. Why are you settling for mediocrity? Time to wake up! "
- Prabal Arora

Do you ever wonder where we all fit in and who are we? Some of us love to watch sports at the top level. We get excited about watching elite athletes being the very best at what they do - whether it's racing cars or playing tennis, basketball or soccer World Cup level. We love watching elite athletes being excellent at what they do.

What are your aspirations?

Other people get inspired by those elite athletes, and they say, "Yes, that's me". I'm going to go and play that sport". So they join a team, whether it's the local team or the community team, and they play that sport at an average level. They enjoy it because they are involved in a sport. There are other people for whom it's like they're born with a tennis racket in their hand, or they were born with a pair of soccer boots on, and in their whole life, they were focused, disciplined and committed. They get the coaching, training, and their life is all about becoming the best at that sport. And they do. They win multiple gold medals.

They are the best players in the World Cup team, and then what about the folks who win 22 Grand Slams? They win seven championships. They're paid one hundred and fifty million dollars a year to play their sport because they're so good at it. They're not just so good at it; people too want to watch them play their sport.

"If you want to look like an athlete, you got to train like an athlete."

What if you could be the BEST in whatever you do?

Do you ever wonder if we did everything that we needed to do to be the best at what we want to do in our lives? So, what if we put 100 per cent effort into everything we do? What if we were disciplined in every area of our lives every day? What if we were cool, calm and collected under pressure? We didn't have any uncontrolled stress. We didn't worry, panic or exaggerate. We were excellent even when things were going bad. By the way, lots of sportspeople get paid to be relaxed and calm under pressure.

What if we learned, got the education and kept learning to have a career that we love every day? So many people have a job that they hate. What if we decided that we would do whatever we needed to do to make sure that every day when we went to work was more like a play day because we loved it?

What if we chose to be healthy, physically fit and lean for a lifetime and we didn't have to rely on an expert or a guru or somebody else's opinion? We didn't have to say, "please, could you help me lose weight"? Am I fat? Am I ugly? How do I exercise? Where do I exercise? Should I do core exercises, ab workout or HIIT exercise, anaerobic exercises, kettlebell exercises or arm workout? Could you please prepare a gym workout plan for me? Do I eat low carb meals, plant-based diet, vegan diet or lamb and mutton to improve my health conditions? We actually got the education we needed to make sure that we understood how our own body works. What if we educated ourselves more on food, nutrition, anatomy and physiology of the human body?

What if we Focussed on all areas of Life?

What if we invested our money wisely? What if we spent less than what we earned? What have we planned for that we achieve financial freedom? What more could we do with our lives if we didn't have to worry about money? What if we invested time with those people only whom we respect, people who respect us, people who add value to our lives and we add value to their lives? What if we decided that we wouldn't put up with negativity or gossiping or criticizing?

Can't we also be the Champions?

And it's interesting, I think we all know deep down that we can actually do all of that. We could choose excellence over average. We could choose to put in one hundred per cent effort over just going to do enough to get by. We could choose to have a joyful life instead of an ordinary one.

The world champions, the multiple world champions are just people. And if you've watched Paralympic Games, they are the people who don't even have all their arms and legs. But they decided that they're going to be the very best at what they do and they're going to put in the effort required. And I often think if you're a mother, father, bus driver, school teacher, lawyer, doctor, why not be the best bus driver, the best mum, the best coach? What if we decided today that we would be the best at what we do every day?

"Don't settle for mediocrity, think of the best, feel the best and then only you get the best “ Law of attraction. Only missing link here is taking 'Massive ACTION' and sticking to it until you reach your goal."
